It’s just a short walk from the dramatic ruins of the Allihies Copper Mines, and the long beach at Ballydonegan strand, and it’s on the Beara-Breifne way walking route, which makes it the perfect place to stop!
Traditional Music
The pub is popular with local musicians, and they’re often joined by visitors from further afield, especially when the Michael O’Dwyer Festival is on in early June. If you can play or sing, you’ll get roped in to the entertainment at some stage!
Bar Food
A range of bar food is on offer, and the changing menu features everything from soup and toasted sandwiches, to crab salads, and fish and chips. The dining room at the back of the pub means we can cater for quite large groups of diners, though notice is always welcome as it’s a very popular spot for local events. To book, just contact us. We’ll be happy to cater for walking groups, and the bar area is a popular place for families to meet for a meal.
Beer wine and spirits are available, of course, but a wide range of good coffees can be got here too, and there’s free Wi-Fi if you feel the need to reconnect with your everyday life …
