Walking in Allihies

Walking AllihiesAllihies is on the Beara Way walking route and there are wonderful walks to choose from around the copper mines, all around the coastline, and on Dursey and Bere Islands within easy reach of the village.

Visit Dursey Island

durseyDursey Island is one of the signature destination points on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way touring route. The island can only be reached by cable car, and so the journey there is an adventure in itself. A walk across the island is a real pleasure, with opportunities for whale- dolphin- and bird-watching as you walk.
